About Amlodipine Besilate Tablets BP 5 mg

AMLODEV is indicated for the treatment of Hypertension, Chronic stable angina pectoris & Vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina.

Adults:The usual initial dose is 5 mg once daily, which may be increased to a maximum of 10 mg once daily depending on patient response. It may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.

Elderly:Use with caution. Dose adjustment should be gradual based on clinical response.

Paediatric population (617 years): The recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg once daily, which may be increased to 5 mg once daily if required.

Method of administration: For oral use. Tablets should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of liquid.
