Each Film-Coated Tablet Contains:

• Sodium Bicarbonate USP500 mg
• Excipients.q.s.
• Colour: Titanium Dioxide

INDICATION:

• DLC-SoBi is indicated for the chronic management of Metabolic Acidosis in Chronic Kidney disease (CKD) patient and as following:
• It is also indicated in severe diarrhoea which is accompanied by a significant loss of bicarbonate.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

• The dose of DLC-SoBi will be different for different patients.
• Usual Adult Dose for Moderate metabolic acidosis is 325 to 2000 mg orally 1 to 4 times a day. (Patients younger than 60 year of age, max dose 16 g/day; patients older than 60 year of age max dose 8 g/day).

WARNING AND PRECAUTION:

Sodium Bicarbonate should not be used in certain medical conditions such as; Breathing problem (pulmonary edema), Congestive heart failure, Severe kidney disease(e.g., inability to make urine), Severe Liver disease (e.g., ascites,cirrhosis), High sodium levels, Swollen ankles/legs/feet due to retaining water(peripheral edema). As is contains sodium it should not be used in patients ona salt-restricted diet.
